Becoming Zave

If I cannot find hope, I will become it.

Let’s talk!

I don’t want Becoming Zave to be a one-way conversation.

Yes, this is a place where I share what I am learning through my studies and my personal experience, but I would also love it to become a place where others can share theirs, too.

Maybe something I have written resonated with you?

Maybe you completely disagree with me?

Maybe you’ve experienced something similar and want to tell me about it?

Maybe you have a perspective I have never considered?

Or maybe you have something you have been carrying alone for years that you’ve never really had the words to talk about?

I would love to hear from you.

Your story matters.

One of the reasons I started writing in the first place is because I have spent the majority of my life believing I was alone in what I was experiencing. But then I discovered other people’s stories, and sometimes simply knowing you’re not the only one can change everything.

I would love Becoming Zave to create more of those moments. I would love to create a space where we can talk about things that are uncomfortable, complicated, misunderstood or rarely discussed; a place where we can question things, and learn from one another. A place where we can challenge stigma and remind each other that none of us have it “all figured out.

We don’t have to agree on everything to listen. We don’t have to share the same lived experience to learn from one another. And we certainly don’t have to pretend that everything is okay.

Want to get in touch?

  • Share your story: tell me about your own experiences.
  • Share your thoughts: do you agree with something I have written? Disagree? Have something to add?
  • Suggest a topic: is there something personal or psychological you want me to explore?
  • Just say hello: honestly, this is welcome, too. You don’t have to have the perfect words. Just knowing someone has read this far would mean the world!

One final note before you drop me a line:

Becoming Zave is intended to be a personal blog and community space, it is not a crisis service or therapy and is not a substitute. I am a psychology student, and I cannot provide professional mental health advice because I am not a qualified psychologist or therapist.

If you send me your story, I will not publish or share it without asking you first, and you can remain anonymous if you wish. Please only share what you feel comfortable sharing and, most importantly, please remember that you do not owe anyone your story.

Your story does not have to be extraordinary to matter. Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can say is simply “that happened to me, too!

Simply send me an email: zave@becomingzave.com or reach out on one of my socials below.

Look forward to hearing from you!
